Publishing When We See Ourselves // Black x Brown Love has been a team effort and wouldn't have been possible without the community. I've got stories for days on how this all came together.
When @sukrutianah DM'd me out of the blue to introduce herself as a book cover designer and extend an offer of support — I don't think she expected me to say yes. But, the truth was, we were at full capacity, and designing the book cover ourselves would have put the project back weeks. Plus, Sukruti's work was DOPE.

Sukruti Anah Staneley is a designer based in New Delhi, India. She currently works as a graphic designer for @thecaravanmagazine magazine, a journal of politics and culture focusing on long-form print journalism and digital stories. Sukruti is passionate about the intersection of photography and book design and previously worked with @zubaanbooks — a feminist publishing house in India. She has also designed books for @panmacmillan@picadorbooks , The Feminist Press, Hachette, and Scholastic, among others publications.
