Yesterday, after a solid 22-months of building the #BlindianProject community online, some of us met face-2-face in London for breakfast, community, and conversation.
Even though it was the first time we'd met in person, we all picked up as if we'd been friends for years. And, by the end of our meeting, everyone was swapping phone numbers and IG handles for future meet-ups.
Social media can often be a toxic place with trolls and constant negativity. But, I believe that used intentionally, social media is a tool that can lead to beautiful relationships with like-minded people. Yesterday was a testament to that fact. It's been quite the journey to get to this place, but it's been a gratifying experience building and growing this loving and accepting community. This is what humanity is about and I can't wait to see where we go next.
