When I initially started the #BlindianProject in 2017, I had no idea how large an impact the project could have. As I drafted the call to action, I didn't know how many people would respond. But, I trusted myself enough to believe that it was worth it. Today, our community has grown to over 20,000 beautiful souls worldwide.
When the first person approached me and asked whether we provide "matchmaking/dating services," I chuckled to myself. But, I couldn't fault them. We were openly sharing stories of Black x South Asian love, and it made sense that we'd naturally provide a service to connect people further. That time is now.
I believe that negative stereotypes about our relationships exist because of a lack of knowledge and opportunities for shared experiences. There aren't enough spaces where Black x South Asian individuals and couples can bond, learn, and form relationships.
We're setting off on a new journey and are pleased to have you with us. This is more than networking, matchmaking, or dating. This is an opportunity to disrupt biases in a transformative way.
