BlindianProject Founder Speaks With BBC Radio Berkshire About The BlindianProject Carnival

Last night, our founder, Jonah Batambuze, joined Bridgitte Tetteh, @BBC Radio Berkshire, on her show about issues impacting the African and Caribbean communities.

The conversation covered the following:

* The BlindianProject founder's story and inspiration

* Existing stereotypes amongst Black x South Asian communities

* KSI / Sidemen racist comments and reaction

* BlindianProject Carnival and why creating intentional spaces for Black x Brown communities to learn from each other are important

* The fantastic sponsors & partners involved in the BlindianProject Carnival on April 30th, 2023

"I want to thank Bridgitte for taking an interest in and understanding the importance of our work and these conversations. While many people have shared their thoughts on the KSI and Sidemen racist incident, I haven't seen many discussing or searching for solutions. The value of our work bringing Black x Brown communities together has never been as relevant as it is today, and we look forward to continuing to build spaces that break down barriers."

The conversation starts from 51:10: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0fds9jg
