Arthi Nachiappan Named to BlindianProject Carnival Lineup


Pleased to announce @arthinachiappan as one of the DJs providing the soundtrack to the BlindianProject Carnival.


Nachiappan is a journalist, radio host, DJ and dancer based in London.


She is Economics Correspondent at The Times. Arthi started her journalism career writing about higher education policy before joining the paper as a news reporter. She has led an investigation into cyberstalking and reported on the Everyone's Invited scandal over sexual abuse in schools in which more than 50,000 students came forward.


Arthi regularly appears on radio as a resident DJ and presenter at Rinse FM with guest mixes on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network, Foundation FM, NTS, and more. She has played at Manchester and Birmingham Pride with Katy B and at events for party collectives including Keep Hush, Pxssy Palace, Daytimers, Boko Boko, and Movimientos.


As a dancer, Arthi has appeared in music videos for Beyoncé, Dave, Charli XCX, Saweetie, Amaarae, and Kali Uchis and performed live at the O2 Arena with Tiwa Savage.


Arthi was born in Chennai, India to Tamil parents. She moved to the UK when she was two years old and lived in Wales and the north of England before settling in Nottingham. She has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, with a joint specialism in Economics and Philosophy, from the University of Warwick.
